Wrap your mitts around one of our hot winter drinks. These recipes will fill you with festive spirit.

If you are looking for a new tipple to get you through the cold winter months, then look no further than our Winter Warmers! Here are 2 scrumptious recipes from Italian Mixologist Luca Peroncini, who has given us his favourite Christmas inspired drinks to share with you.

Hot Whisky Toddy (this ones just for grown-ups) 

 

What you will need

45ml - Sheep Dip (of course!) Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

120ml - Water

20ml - Honey

2 - Cloves

Lemon Zest

Nutmeg

Method

Pour your water into a pan and bring to the boil.

Add the Whisky and Honey and allow to gently simmer to let the flavours infuse.

Just before serving, add a pinch of Nutmeg, the cloves and a touch of lemon zest.

Serve in a Herdy Line Mug or whisky glass.

 

Best enjoyed with your feet up on the sofa after wrapping all those Christmas presents. 

Hot Orange Punch (non alcoholic)

 

What you will need

120ml - Red Orange Juice

120ml - Apple Juice

1tsp - Honey

2 - Slices of fresh Orange

4 - Cloves

1 - Star Anise

1 - Cinnamon Stick

 

 

Method

Pour the apple juice into a pan and gently bring to the boil with a cinnamon stick and cloves. Simmer for 10 minutes to help bring out the flavour.

Add the red orange juice, orange slices and tea-spoon of honey. Stir until the honey has all dissolved.

Finally, add the Star Anise and serve in your favourite Herdy Peep Mug.
