We all know that the Lake District is a perfect summer holiday destination and one place we think you should visit is the beautiful town of Kendal. There are lots of things to do in Kendal, so here are some of our top recommendations to help you plan your trip.
Why Kendal?
Kendal is situated in South Lakeland, Cumbria, and is a hub of activity, events and culture, as well as being home to snippets of interesting local history. The town is ewe-nique with its combination of old and new, existing side-by-side. It doesn’t matter if you are looking for bits of history, pieces of art, or simply a shopping trip to find local produce - Kendal is sure to offer something for everyone to enjoy.

We have the Lakes Alive, Torchlight and Mountain Festival to mention just a few events coming up and those responsible need to need to progress things without further delay. Tony a volunteer for the information centre reinforced it was taking far too long for the amendment on maps and direction signage to be amended. I said I would leave a comment as it took me half an hour to find the place having been informed by Kendal Hostel it had moved.
When I found the place I was given a wealth of information by Tony and was very impressed with the delightful shop. He certainly knows his stuff, and was very professional, knowledgeable and patient with visiting tourists. Keep up the good work Tony and thanks for your help.
I had a great few days exploring more of Kendal and some surrounding areas. :):):)
Do not hesitation to contact me regarding other ideas, issues and access I have with the delightful village town.
I have a small 17th century vernacular cottage on Gillinggate currently; as old as the chocolate shop which I rented out and visit sporadically until the opportunity arises to move to my small dwelling place.
On the whole I love the Kendal, but there is so much more you could do to bring people in pleasant tourists and their four legged friends, thank you. Diane
