Unless ewe’ve been living under a rock (or perhaps grazing on top of the fells) you’ll know that this Saturday 19th May, Prince Harry of Wales is due to marry his fiancée Meghan Markle.

We see a lot of weddings here in the Lake District and why not; millions of people fall in love with the Lake District every year, and the landscape has a history of inspiring romance. Did ewe know that former US President Bill Clinton proposed to his wife, Hillary Clinton, on the banks of Ennerdale Water in 1973?

Love Gets Sweeter

Recently we were contacted by Charlene McNabb of Love Gets Sweeter, a wedding videographer who recorded the wedding in April this year of Gemma and Ian. They tied the knot in picturesque Grasmere.

We’d met Gemma and Ian previously, it turns out. They had been purchasing some herdy goodies at our Grasmere shop earlier in the year and mentioned their upcoming wedding. So we decided to make and send them a handmade wedding card!

Charlene emailed us to let us know that the video of the wedding was on her website, which included the wedding card we sent to Gemma and Ian and a Love Ewe herdy! The couple also had a baaa-rilliant wedding cake made that featured a familiar colourful sheep…

The video is so beautiful and ewe should totally watch it.

Love Ewe

Charlene mentioned to us in her email:

“Your personal gesture on the morning of Gemma and Ian’s wedding in April really touched them. It was one of the first things she showed me, even before her dress!”

Moments like these are what herdy is all about, spreading smiles and happiness, and we’re absolutely thrilled that Gemma and Ian had such a wonderful day to remember. Congrat-ewe-lations you two! And thank you to Charlene McNabb of Love Gets Sweeter for letting us know about the big day and providing us with the photos above.

The Lake District is the perfect setting for a wedding, so make your day extra special with a herdy.
