Herdy’s unique range of jewellery is born out of collaboration with award-winning jeweller and artist, Debbie Noble. Made in Cumbria from solid sterling silver, each piece is beautifully hand crafted and designed to make you smile. The solid, miniature herdys are cast using a lost wax casting process; hand finished and individually hallmarked at the London Assay Office.

Debbie Noble

Debbie completed a degree course in silversmithing at Camberwell College of Art, and then went on to study an MA in goldsmithing/silversmithing, metalwork and jewellery at the renowned Royal College of Art, London.

She has exhibited her work at galleries both in the UK and Europe and has won several high profile awards. See www.debbienoble.co.uk

Combining lecturing alongside working on her own projects Debbie has worked throughout the UK and internationally for over 20 years. In 2008 Debbie returned to the Lakes and now lives and works as a silversmith, sculptor and artist in Kendal.

Debbie says; “I’ve worked on many different projects over the years but this collaboration with Herdy has been one of the most enjoyable. Scaling down their trademark herdy character into it’s smallest size to date has been a lot of fun.”

When we met Debbie, apart from her amazing skills as a silversmith, one interesting fact drew us to her:  she has an ancestor who was locked up in Carlisle castle for stealing sheep! How could we resist working with someone with that kind of family history? A match made in heaven!
